Joining Wetland Experience Exchange Congress (20th Anniversary event of Guandu Nature Park)

The Congress together with the 7th Wetland Link International (WLI) Asia Conference was organized by the Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia (RRC-EA) in cooperation with the Taipei City Government and Wild Bird Society of Taipei.
Hong Kong Wetlands Conservation Association attended the Congress as a member of Wetland Link International (WLI).
A lot of case studies in wetland conservation and CEPA (communication, capacity building, education, participation and awareness) have been shared in the Congress.
* WLI is a global network of wetland centers founded in 1991 by Wildfowl and Wetland Trust (WWT) and supporters. It is endorsed by the Ramsar as a key mechanism to support wetland centers in delivering CEPA activities.

Visited wetlands and nature centres in Kaohsiung and Tainan, including Guantian Jacana Ecological Education Park (官田水雉生態教園區), Niaosong Wetland Park (鳥松濕地公園), National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (國立海洋生物博物館), Shuangliu Nature Centre (雙流自然教育中心). Exchanged insights and experiences in wetland management and environmental education with managers of wetlands and nature centres.
